Does anybody have any updates on any of the Local kids wrestling at state?
I think Pound may have a kid that is gonna place at 215.

Colby Dean from Burton is in the Finals. His brother Logan is wrestling for 7th/8th at 152. Hill from Coeburn was in the consolation rounds but idk how he has done. Kenny Sluss will place at 215 for Pound but I think the lowest he can get is 5th or 6th if im not mistaken. That's all I know so far.

Castlewood's 125 Ryan McCall, Rye Cove's 140 Calep Bartee, Burton 's 145 Colby Dean & Kelly's 215 Drew Collins are all in the finals
placng 3rd - 8th will be :
Powell Valley : 130 Zach Rogich
J I Burton : 152 Logan Dean
Powell Valley : 189 Kendall Lomax
Pound : 215 Kenny Sluss
It also looks like the heavyweights Belcher at St Paul will place 7th or 8th and Robbins at Lee can place between 3rd and 6th.
Reports have Drew Collins of Kelly in the finals at 215.
Kenny Sluss of Pound placed 5th at 215. Not bad for a kid who has only been wrestling for a little over a year.
Castlewood's McCall lost a tough one 5-3 in the finals. He got a takedown with a couple of seconds left but didn't have control.
Calep represented The Cove tonight with a pin in the finals!!!!!
Colby Dean's facing a Sr. from Strasburg that was 5th in state last year.
Way to go Calep!! RC's first wrestling state title by their only wrestler in school history.
